Measurements: Width

You have two options to determine your drapery width:

Tell us your ideal drapery width

OR

Tell us your window size and we’ll help calculate the drapery width

Ripplefold drapes can only be used with a compatible ripplefold track. When you enter your measurements below, you’ll see the size and price for your drapes as well as your track.

1Enter the width of your window, A:

2Enter the space to the left and right of your window. We recommend making your track as wide as possible.

B:  C:

3Ripplefold drapes are made from fabric that’s 1.6 to 2.5 times wider than the track. This is referred to as fullness. Please select your fullness below:

4Would you like this to be one big drape or split into two smaller ones?

Enter your drape width in inches:

How many of these drapes would you like?

Keep in mind drapes need to be between 1.5 to 3 times wider than the window they cover so you get that nice, wavy drapery look. This is referred to as fullness.

We recommend a minimum fullness of 2x. This means if your window is 50” wide, the drape width you enter above should be 100” (or you can do 2 drapes that are each 50”).

1What should be the finished (pleated) width of your drape? This is the max space this drape would cover when fully open:

2To get this finished width, we will use between 2 to 3 times as much fabric. This is referred to as the fullness. You can select your fullness below. For 3-pinch pleat and European pleat, please select a minimum of 2.5x.

2We recommend adding a margin of 5-10” on each side for proper coverage. Choose your margin, B:

Measurements: Length

You have two options to determine your drape length:

Tell us your ideal drape length

OR

Tell us your window size and we’ll help calculate the drape length

Enter your drape length in inches:

Pro tip 1: The top of a grommet or rod pocket drape will sit 1” above the top of your rod. So if the top of your rod is 100” above the floor and you want your drapes just touching the floor, your drape length should be 101”.

Pro tip 2: We recommend getting your drapes with a 1-2” “puddle” (so in the above example, your length would be 102”-103”). This will disguise any variance in height if your rod (or floor) is not perfectly level.

Pro tip 1: When you hang your drapes, the top of the drape will sit about 1” below the top of your track. So if the top of your track is 100” above the floor and you want your drapes just touching the floor, your drape length should be 99”.

Pro tip 2: We recommend getting your drapes with a 1-2” “puddle” (so in the above example, your length would be 100”-101”). This will disguise any variance in height if your rod/track, ceiling or floor is not perfectly level.

1To find the right length for your drape, first measure the distance from the top of your track/rod to the floor, A:

2We recommend getting your drapes with a 1-2” “puddle”. This will disguise any variance in height if your track/rod (or floor) is not perfectly level. Enter your puddle length, B:

If you want your drapes just touching the floor, B should be 0. If you want them slightly above the floor, then enter -0.5 or -1 as B.

3What are you planning to use to hang your drapes?

Fun fact: When you hang your drapes, the top of the drape will sit about 1” above the top of your track so we will actually make your drape 1” longer than A+B.
