Measurements: Width

To find the right width for your curtain, first measure the width of your window frame, A.

Next, decide how far you want your curtains to extend beyond the window on each side, B. We recommend 10 inches.

We recommend a fullness of at least 2x. This means if the total area you’re covering is 50 inches wide, your fabric would be 100 inches wide. What fullness do you prefer?

Note: For pleated styles, we recommend adding 10% to your coverage width. Please also select a minimum 2x fullness for 2-pinch pleat and ripplefold and minimum 2.5x for 3-pinch pleat and European pleat.

How many panels would you like to split your curtains into?

Measurements: Length

To find the right length for your curtain, first measure the distance from the top of your rod to the floor A,

Hint: Hanging your rod as high as possible will make your ceilings appear taller.

Since materials can stretch slightly over time, we recommend hanging your curtains so they create a small “puddle” (1-2 inches) on the floor to disguise any variance. Enter B below to indicate how long your puddle should be.

If you want to have your curtains end off the floor instead, leave B as 0 and reduce A by ½ - 1 inches.

Note: The inputs above calculate the distance between your rod and where your curtain ends. To get your actual curtain length; if your hanging style is ring top or pleated, we will deduct 1 inch from the above measurements. For grommet and rod pocket, we will add 1 inch. The length you will see in your order confirmation is your final, end-to-end curtain length.

Customer Reviews

Based on 4 reviews
5 Stars!

We had the daunting task of finding curtains to fit a 130"+ windows that weren't hideous and wouldn't break the bank. We searched far and wide and luckily found Mesken! The Mesken team were phenomenal to work with; their customer service can't be beat! The team helped us with samples, when we had trouble making a decision. They checked in frequently to ensure all of our questions were answered. And when we needed help ordering due to the size of the curtains, they were there to offer support and make the process effortless. When our curtains were delayed due to the special order, they expedited shipping to ensure we had our curtains on time. The curtains themselves are great quality, the fabric is beautiful and exactly matched the sample, and the black out option we selected works perfectly. We've had the curtains a few weeks now, and we couldn't be happier. We've already recommended Mesken to family & friends.

Great quality at a great price

I struggled to find new pinch pleat curtains for my bow window, since I did not want to go with two curtains. Mesken offers great quality custom curtains at a very low price. My only regret is that the fabric is a bit heavy for my rod (since it is 30+ years old), and I wished i would have reduced the number of pleats accordingly.

Great shades, great price

Had roman shades installed throughout my apartment. The service was great and the installer did a great job. I am so impressed by the quality and price (I quoted several other big name window treatment places and was quoted more than DOUBLE what Mesken charged). Will def be recommending to everyone I know!

Avondale Drapes

Got them in the orange/copper color (12) and they look amazing. Added the blackout liner too and it works well in the room which gets direct southern light. The fabric has a nice feel and hangs well. Mesken did a great job answering all of my questions and helping me figure out what to get to hang the drapes on (I used a ceiling mounted track).
