Arleta Sample Swatch

Textured and elegant

Arleta has a unique, knitted construction that with a waffle-like pattern. We're so proud of it that it's featured on our home page (in that enviable apartment with the tall ceilings). It looks more lively than our other fabrics - we wouldn't dare call it it "shiny" but if you want your curtains to be matte and subtle, you might want to keep browsing. But if you are some truly elegant curtains that will get people to ask "where did you get these?!", you're in the right place.

Material:  100% Polyester (see our note on man-made fabrics)

Measurements: Width

You have two options to determine your curtain width:

Tell us your ideal curtain width

OR

Tell us your window size and we’ll help calculate the curtain width

Ripplefold curtains can only be used with a compatible ripplefold track. When you enter your measurements below, you’ll see the size and price for your curtains as well as your track.

1Enter the width of your window, A:

2Enter the space to the left and right of your window. We recommend making your track as wide as possible.

B:  C:

3Ripplefold curtains are made from fabric that’s 1.6 to 2.5 times wider than the track. This is referred to as fullness. Please select your fullness below:

4Would you like this to be one big curtain or split into two smaller ones?

Enter your curtain width in inches:

How many of these curtains would you like?

Keep in mind curtains need to be between 1.5 to 3 times wider than the window they cover so you get that nice, wavy curtain look. This is referred to as fullness.

We recommend a minimum fullness of 2x. This means if your window is 50” wide, the curtain width you enter above should be 100” (or you can do 2 curtains that are each 50”).

1What should be the finished (pleated) width of your curtain? This is the max space this curtain would cover when fully open:

2To get this finished width, we will use between 2 to 3 times as much fabric. This is referred to as the fullness. You can select your fullness below. For 3-pinch pleat and European pleat, please select a minimum of 2.5x.

Measurements: Length

You have two options to determine your curtain length:

Tell us your ideal curtain length

OR

Tell us your window size and we’ll help calculate the curtain length

Enter your curtain length in inches:

Pro tip 1: The top of a grommet or rod pocket curtain will sit 1” above the top of your rod. So if the top of your rod is 100” above the floor and you want your curtains just touching the floor, your curtain length should be 101”.

Pro tip 2: We recommend getting your curtains with a 1-2” “puddle” (so in the above example, your length would be 102”-103”). This will disguise any variance in height if your rod (or floor) is not perfectly level.

Pro tip 1: When you hang your curtains, the top of the curtain will sit about 0.5” below the top of your track. So if the top of your track is 100” above the floor and you want your curtains just touching the floor, your curtain length should be 99.5”.

Pro tip 2: We recommend getting your curtains with a 1-2” “puddle” (so in the above example, your length would be 100”-101”). This will disguise any variance in height if your rod/track, ceiling or floor is not perfectly level.

Pro tip 1: When you hang your curtains, the top of the curtain will sit about 1” below the top of your track. So if the top of your track is 100” above the floor and you want your curtains just touching the floor, your curtain length should be 99”.

Pro tip 2: We recommend getting your curtains with a 1-2” “puddle” (so in the above example, your length would be 100”-101”). This will disguise any variance in height if your rod/track, ceiling or floor is not perfectly level.

1To find the right length for your curtain, first measure the distance from the top of your track to the floor, A:

2We recommend getting your curtains with a 1-2” “puddle”. This will disguise any variance in height if your rod (or floor) is not perfectly level. Enter your puddle length, B:

If you want your curtains just touching the floor, B should be 0. If you want them slightly above the floor, then enter -0.5 or -1 as B.

Fun fact: When you hang your curtains, the top of the curtain will sit about 1” above the top of your track so we will actually make your curtain 1” longer than A+B.

Fun fact: When you hang your curtains, the top of the curtain will sit about 1” below the top of your track so we will actually make your curtain 1” shorter than A+B.

Fun fact: When you hang your curtains, the top of the curtain will sit about 0.5” below the top of your track so we will actually make your curtain 0.5” shorter than A+B.
